One entry every two years is totally legit, right? I just started getting back on here after a long hiatus and I'm really happy to see how much better all of my friends have gotten while I havent been paying attention!I have gotten a little better, but don't feel like I'm progressing like you guys are because I don't always have/make time for art anymore. I've had such a crazy roller-coaster of a time. To those of you who don't know because I haven't kept in touch since high school and aren't on facebook (which I hardly ever update anyway) I joined the Navy. Now I work on their computers as an IT, currently not on a ship but in a couple of years I will be on one.

I have spent a bit of time painting miniatures for games and making pencil drawings, but that doesn't help me with digital art/ design/ illustration/ 3D models/ all the things I think would be cooler to study. It's funny to me that I still have several people I work with ask for tattoo designs on a regular basis, though. I got into Magic the Gathering, and recently completed my first card alter which was received pretty positively, so I'll scan it in here.

I'll try to throw some of the stuff I've done lately up here, just so it looks like I am still doing something, but you guys are doing really great and I'm proud of you all. (You know who you are)

Well. It's been a while. I live in Houston now. It's a cool place. I also just got laid off. Not so cool.


I haven't drawn much at all in my time here, since I've been balls-to-the-wall busy all the time. What free time I have is usually spent painting miniatures for a tabletop war game called Warhammer 40,000. I Ought to submit pictures of my army for you guys. I recently got into a really great D&D game, so you might see some effects of that pretty soon here.

Anyway, sorry for dropping off the face of the planet. It was pretty nice dusting off my pencils and making something cool though. I had forgotten how nice it feels.

Oh, and I have a roomate. Flaming homosexual english professor gamer dude. Pretty cool guy. He has a  lot of stuff though...


On the subject of fandoms, I'm totally in to Dragon Age. Those games are really awesome, and I encourage everyone to play both of them. For those who have played them, Dragon Age Redemption is a web-miniseries by Felicia Day (my hero!!!) that is official canon and extremely cool. Look it up.

So, I'm moving in about a month. Not just "out of my parent's house," but several thousand miles across several states to Houston,Texas. It is, from what I hear, the most liberal and cultured city in Texas, with much lower rates of unemployment than my current city. In fact, it seems like a city five times as great in a smaller area. It does, however, have a large quantity of spanish-speaking people, with whom I'll probably have trouble, because I'm not.

In any case, it's probably the farthest I'll have been from my home city and I'm pretty nervous about it. Especially since I won't be taking very much with me. I intend to sell my computer so that I can use the money to buy a new one when I get there.

I just hope I can still bring my scanner...

I graduated high school. It was a big deal. There were lots of pictures and family embers present. Then it was over, and I played Mass Effect 2 with the cash they gave me.

Then I sat around until my 18th birthday. It wasn't a big deal. I got 20 bucks and a couple of t-shirts. I've been playing facebook games and trying to motivate myself to finish a picture ever since. I HAVE been drawing, just... it's all been artist's block and mediocre sketches and wanting a tablet.

I think the problem is that I haven't been roleplaying. My minimum-people-required-for-a-game weekend gaming day has been interrupted by 2 of the three other players having lives, and I've had no inspiration.

I also don't have a job jet, which is worrisome. It just seems really daunting to even try, and in Jacksonville it seems like even people who HAVE jobs have to fight tooth and nail to get hours. It all seems really hopeless and social anxiety.

But I did animate Pixel Rat. He's a cute lil' guy, I'm real proud of him. It's 3:30 in the morning. Goodnight.
